‘’Terry White combines those valued attributes in one wise head ,one of a bare handful around the world who do so .Perhaps most usefully of all, he manages to communicate this valued input in a measured, accessible way .I’ve worked with him ,on and off ,well back into the last century because I value what he brings uniquely to projects, from the vast ambitious ones, to the micro-design challenges. What we are now learning about the detailed environmental conditions for optimal learning, from light levels and temperature to CO2 and sound, is a good example of the new knowledge Terry constantly evaluates, absorbs, understands, applies and communicates so well. ‘’Terry has supported our teachers and school leaders in workshops, exploring how our new innovative learning environments can enact our school vision of “Engage, Enrich, Empower” “.All staff came together and explored learning led design while in transition to our new learning spaces. This was followed up with workshops with our leadership team and team meetings with teachers of each learning zone. In these workshops’ teachers were able to have the freedom to explore new ways of teaching and learning and develop outcomes that were innovative, insightful and practical. The process was authentic and helped our educators to problem solve solutions that accelerated and gave confidence to trying new actions to personalise learner led learning at Freemans Bay Primary School.”
